The Wellness Consultant is responsible for increasing utilization of wellness and hospital services by educating and informing corporations about the services offered by Methodist Wellness Services and Houston Methodist (Methodist).

Duties and Responsibilities are cross-referenced to the hospitals Pillars of Excellence and will be transferred to Performance Evaluation.
1. PEOPLE (35%)
Meet potential corporate clients to develop relationships to assist in educating those individuals and companies about the services provided by Methodist and Methodist Wellness Services. Responsible for marketing MWS program through off-site sales calls, phone calls, sending materials to clients and attending health fairs. Exercise professional discretion regarding sensitive and/or confidential issues. Manage and prioritize multiple tasks and be able to reevaluate priorities regularly. Responsible for relationship development with corporate wellness team, wellness coordinators and health fair teams. Experienced with facilitating communication and utilizing diplomatic skills with internal and external clients. (EF)
2. FINANCE (10%)
Monitor monthly/quarterly reports to find opportunities to meet/exceed quarterly targets. Responsible for utilizing database to identify, qualify and manage clients by targeting certain programs. (EF)
3. QUALITY/SAFETY (5%)
Research, analyze and monitor local market to identify potential new business or improve current service offerings. Assure client satisfaction with services through feedback calls post events. Stay current and adhere to Affordable Care Act, Stark, IRS regulations in accordance with Methodist¿s policies and I CARE values. (EF)
4. SERVICE (15%)
Effectively communicate any changes in policy and/or new services and programs. Assist existing and potential corporate clients with any issues and provide necessary resolutions. Assist with special MWS promotional events. Document activities using approved software tool. Carries out the Methodist Experience by ensuring a positive, personalized, energetic environment and experience for corporations, patients, and co-workers. (EF)
5. GROWTH/INNOVATION (35%)
Provides out-bound telephone sales calls, including, call-backs and targeted cold calls. Coordinate presentations and activities related to community/corporate events, including but not limited to chamber of commerce meetings, advisory groups and outreach introductions. May participate in the development of department specific marketing materials. (EF)

Bachelors degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, Health Promotion or related field
1. Minimum 2 years previous work experience involving hospital operations, healthcare business development, physician liaison, or corporate outreach/sales.

Must have valid Texas Driver's license
