Job Summary

Houston Methodist Hospital is seeking physicians for the role of clinician-educators in our Supportive and Palliative Care program. One position will be for a senior leader to drive clinical excellence, develop educational programs, and initiate clinical research.  Additional positions for clinician-educators to will also be available. All candidates will be eligible for faculty positions at Weill Cornell Medical College commensurate with experience and scholarly achievements. Residents and medical students, case managers, nurse practitioners, and social workers are all active members of the service.

All physicians will:

  • Serve as an Attending Physician on the interdisciplinary Palliative Care Services at HMH
  • Supervise and train medical students, residents, and fellows (oncology, geriatrics)
  • Participate in scholarly activities in education, quality improvement, program development, and/or research
  • Have Board certification in a primary specialty
  • Have Board-certification or Board-eligibility in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
  • Have completed a Palliative Medicine Fellowship training or comparable experience
