PHYSICIAN RECRUITMENT – CRITICAL CARE INTENSIVIST
Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group, Department of Surgery, is seeking a full-time anesthesiology or pulmonary trained critical care physician to join the critical care physician group serving the Surgical Liver Intensive Care Unit of the Houston Methodist Hospital in the Texas Medical Center. The Surgical Liver ICU is a busy 28-bed non-cardiac unit with a strong multidisciplinary team. It supports the high volume and high complexity surgical and liver transplant programs at the flagship hospital of the Houston Methodist Hospital System. Successful candidates will provide critical care attending duties in 12-hour in-house shifts and have clinical teaching responsibilities to support the resident, fellow and medical student learner groups rotating through the unit. We are seeking candidates who have completed training and are currently Board Certified or in the certification process. Critical care attendings in the department of surgery are eligible for faculty appointments at our academic affiliates Weill Cornell Medical College and Texas A and M Health Sciences University.
