This position is responsible for timely coordination and completion of special projects and departmental support duties as assigned by the Administrator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Work with the Department Administrator to develop, coordinate and support global activities for the department. Activities include the following: departmental policies and procedures, departmental meetings, departmental calendars, departmental confidential records, departmental conference scheduling, internal departmental newsletter, and departmental facility issues. 2. Work under the direction of the Administrator to process human resource items, bi-weekly payroll, and departmental check requests and purchase orders. Process travel reimbursement for the Administrator and clinical support staff. 3. Complete all special projects as assigned by the Administrator. 4. Demonstrates the components of the ICARE values statement. 5. Perform all duties in accordance with the mission, philosophy, and established procedures of the Department. 6. Perform all duties in accordance with the mission, philosophy, and established procedures of The Methodist Hospital. 7. Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: High School or equivalent required, Associate Degree preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 6 years of business support experience in a healthcare setting.

Standard Dress Uniform required for those employees who have public contact with customers Ability to flex hours and work/day assignments to meet needs related to unanticipated patient volume, acuity. Participation in Health Center sponsored activities as assigned.
