SUMMARY: The Sr. Application Analyst is responsible for implementation and support of large, complex health care IS systems with technical experience in systems analysis, design, building, testing, and implementation. The Sr. Application Analyst must demonstrate a strong knowledge of Project Management Methodologies and demonstrate these skills through system implementations. Must be able to lead, manage, and monitor multiple projects simultaneously by establishing project plans and objectives to ensure goal attainment with defined parameters. Must have a strong knowledge of multidisciplinary clinical and business information systems and demonstrate strong leadership skills including the ability to develop and maintain key customer and vendor relationships. Must be able to coordinate and provide problem resolution, technical analysis, costs and resource estimates, work plans, workflow documentation and progress reports on assigned projects. Assists assigned customer areas in identifying potential benefits, re-engineering business and clinical, setting standards, developing procedures, and re-engineering business and clinical processes to achieve expected benefits of new and existing systems. Must be able to lead and encourage development of other team members. Must be able to delegate responsibilities and tasks as well as ensure their completion. The Sr. Applications Analyst determines business requirements and user needs for developing solutions and optimizing performance of existing clinical systems. The Sr. Application Analyst applies skills in line with TMHS values and goals, to assure the efficient, effective and consistent delivery of high quality services. The Sr. Application Analyst is responsible for demonstrating Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Utilizes Project Management Methodology as defined by the TMHS IT PMO and applies them Consistently 2. Ability to lead large scale projects within multiple functional departments. 3. Creates and enforces project deadlines and schedules. 4. Ability to run a fiscally successful project, as well as Communicates and applies project management methodology standards. 5. Communicate project progress, results and recommendations through meetings, phone calls, presentations and written reports. 6. Facilitate working group sessions with the Clinical Departments to identify and drive requirements to improve Business Processes. 7. Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution. 8. Ability to set customer expectations, prioritizes tasks, and delivers solutions on time. 9. Must demonstrate the ability to proactively communicate potential issues, plans for resolution, status updates and their affect on the department to customers and Management. 10. Identifies and documents system deficiencies and recommends solutions. 11. Possesses understanding in the areas of application, database and system design, client/server architecture as well as HL7 interfaces. 12. Facilitates team and client meetings and delivers informative, well-organized presentations. 13. Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions. 14. Continually seeks opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships and effectively manages client expectations effectively. 15. Proactively seeks opportunities to serve in leadership roles and facilitate IT and Business initiatives across the Clinical Ancillary departments. 16. Provide technological consultation and assistance to Team Members of Ancillary Information Systems. 17. Trains and mentors other team members through both formal and informal methods. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field or formal education as a licensed health care professional with current license. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 7-10 years of experience in Healthcare with IT Experience preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS
WORKING : Generally, work is done in an office environment with pleasant working conditions. There is good lighting and ventilation, it is reasonably quiet, and the work hours are reasonably regular.
