Houston Methodist The Woodlands will be the eighth in the Houston Methodist system, offering The Woodlands community a full-service, acute care hospital with many of the same services as our flagship hospital in the Texas Medical Center. The $380 million campus will feature a new 187-bed, 470,000-square-foot facility. 

Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, located at the intersection of TX 242 and I-45, is scheduled to open in July 2017. Construction includes a 150,000-square-foot medical building, which opened March 2016. The Medical Office Building 1 includes a Breast Care Center, Cancer Center & Infusion Center, Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, Wellness Services, Outpatient Laboratory and Therapy, in addition to multi-specialty physician practices.

Job Summary

The Director of Imaging Services is responsible for the 24-hour management of CT, Radiology, Ultrasound, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PACS and other radiology modalities or services.  This includes short and long term planning, program and staff development, resource and budget management, quality monitoring and improvement, strategic planning, and evaluation of policies and procedures to ensure quality patient care and patient satisfaction.  Maintains clinical and management knowledge to advance the profession and utilizes team leadership within the department to accomplish these goals. Works in cooperation and under the direction of the Medical Director of Imaging to meet all regulations and accreditation standards.  The Director practices patient and family centered care in concert with Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital’s values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect and Excellence standards.

Masters degree preferred, Bachelor’s degree required.






  • Six to eight years of health care management experience preferred.
  • Two years experience must have involved managerial responsibility in radiology services; including, Radiology Information Systems and Picture Archiving Communication Systems.
  • Experience maybe substituted for part of the education requirement as appropriate.








  • Must be able to write and speak effectively in English. 
  • Must demonstrate interpersonal skills with all levels of the healthcare team
