Job Summary

The Administrative Coordinator will function as the liaison for the entire facility. Provide nursing expertise in the management of patient care, staffing, and interpreting and implementing established policies and procedures.


1. Coordinate all problem situations which arise and provide appropriate problem resolution. 2. Assigns available personnel, assesses triage assignments and makes appropriate modifications during the shift as necessary. Plans and coordinates staffing needs for the next shift and assesses needs for the following shift. 3. Responsible for monitoring and analyzing work methods, staff scheduling, patient flow and make appropriate adjustments to assure a high level of service quality and cost effectiveness. 4. Coordinates and expedite the admission/discharge, transfer and bed control process. 5. Demonstrates successful conflict resolution in a timely manner with patients, families, physicians and other healthcare team members. Demonstrates professionalism and consistently models excellent customer service skills. 6. Functioning as staff support, acting as staff relief and providing direct patient care if necessary. 7. Facilitates the promotion of teamwork; participates and/or leads and facilitates department process improvements as requested 8. Serves as a mentor/preceptor and actively participates committees, performance improvement plans and quality improvement initiatives 9. Demonstrates Customer Service standards (smiles and makes eye contact; greets each patient and visitor; seeks out patient and visitor contact; displays appropriate body language at all times; takes 5 minutes each day to go above and beyond for one patient or visitor; honors diversity; thanks every customer). 11. Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports all accidents promptly and corrects minor safety hazards. Communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplace. 12. Performs other duties as assigned.


Completion of Professional Nursing program. Bachelors Degree (BSN) preferred.


3 Years experience in an acute care setting required. 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.


Current license to practice as an RN in the State of Texas Current BLS Certification Required (Must be American Heart Association BCLS “Healthcare Provider”) ACLS Required. Current PALS or ENPC preferred.


Must be able to write and speak effectively in English Must demonstrate interpersonal skills with all levels of healthcare team Ability to multitask and manage changing priorities. Ability to judge the appropriate action needed in response to change, circumstances and problems. Basic computer literacy including keyboarding skills, ability to utilize Outlook, MethOD and the ability to navigate in a Windows environment.
