The Sr. Marketing Copywriter will conceptualize, research, write, and edit content for Houston Methodist marketing initiatives. He/she will author effective communications which will target patients, consumers and physicians. Communication should be persuasive, creative, and informative that follow the Houston Methodist Leading Medicine brand. This includes working in various media channels such as, but not limited to: advertising, scripts, annual reports, newsletters, brochures and other major marketing print and digital collateral. This individual should be equally skilled at making health care information understandable to everyday people.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
PEOPLE – 25%
1. Works closely with subject matter experts and clients to develop strong, clear and concise writing that appeals to the intended audience and champions the Houston Methodist brand.
2. Collaborates with designers and marketing professionals to develop effective content across digital channels and formats.
SERVICE – 30%
QUALITY/SAFETY – 25 %
FINANCE – 5%
GROWTH/INNOVATION - 15%

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, literature, marketing, public relations or related field.
Eight years experience performing related work. Must possess professional web copywriting exp.; health care writing experience preferred.
