SUMMARY Maintains financial controls for Market Place revenue. Handles cash and credit card receipts in high volume. Ensures cash handling procedures are being followed and conducts audits in conjunction with the Manager. Works closely with the Cashiers conducting training, training sessions, coordinating schedules and ensures daily breaks for the employees. Operates the cash register system and is the liaison between The Market Place and Cash Management. Works as a Cashier during the busy periods and covers when short staffed. Performs all duties and responsibilities projecting The Methodist Hospital best care and/or service image. Performs other job related duties as assigned. Must adhere with the Food and Nutrition Services' Standards of Appearance and comply with the City of Houston Food Ordinances. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Combines drops into 1 deposit for transfer to the bank. Follows up on problems with AFI and reconciles deposit to actual activity. 2. Responsible for all financial reports daily, weekly, and monthly for The Market Place, Bistro, Catering, Doctors Coffee Bar and Fondren 12. 3. Responsible for maintaining financial controls for The Market Place revenue and storing and maintaining financial records. Responsible for maintaining menu boards including pricing. Check for correct spelling and accurate pricing. 4. Responsible for making the menu line recording clear and concise on a daily basis. 5. Reviews all charge tickets for the Market Place and Doctors Coffee Bar. Maintains a positive working relationship with Financial Accounting. 6. Responsible for the maintenanceand programming of the Micros cash register system. 7. Helps to manages all the staff works closely with team leaders. Schedules, evaluations, audits, ensures that policies and procedures are followed and the Cashier evaluations are d1 on a timely basis. 8. Responsible for placing work orders and maintaining food service equipment 9. Responsible for helping service during peak times. 10. Ensure to direct staff on cleaning schedule EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High School diploma or GED equivalent EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 3 years experience on an electronic cash register and changer in a volume food service establishment or other equivalent situation. Capable of using simple math and operating a 10-key calculator. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED Must maintain current City of Houston Food Services Manage Certification. SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED 1. Physically able to sit/stand for scheduled shift. 2. Operates potentially hazardous equipment.
