JOB SUMMARY
At Houston Methodist, the Development Specialist is responsible for providing support of a variety of projects and the execution of initiatives within the Foundation's Special Event Unit. The Development Specialist relies on appropriate resources to collect relevant data, compile information for management decisions, and ensures the successful execution of related projects. The projects for this role are minimally anticipated, established and directly linked to the evolution of the Foundation’s operational focus and accomplishment of goals.
Under the guidance of management, this position assists with creating new donor pipeline strategies through the coordination of special fundraising and community outreach in-person and virtual events for Methodist and the Foundation. Events include bi-annual gala, special receptions, luncheons, dinners, tours and other events involving Senior HM Executives, Board of Directors, and other high level volunteers and prospective contributors.
