Houston Methodist Primary Care Group, is seeking an experienced Family Medicine Residency Program Director to establish and lead our residency program, located at our Sugar Land campus. The Program Director will play a crucial role in the development of the Family Medicine residency, ensuring its alignment with national accreditation standards. This role will include both clinical effort and administrative/educational effort.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the Family Medicine Residency Program.
- Develop and implement curriculum, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Lead the recruitment, evaluation, and mentoring of residents.
- Provide guidance and support to faculty members involved in the residency program.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare institutions for clinical rotations and educational experiences.
- Participate in strategic planning for the growth and improvement of the residency program.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with ACGME and other relevant accreditation standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold or be able to obtain a valid and unrestricted medical license from the State of Texas
- Completed an accredited residency program in Family Medicine
Certified/maintain certification with the American Board of Family Medicine or the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians - 3-5 years of Family Medicine education and/or administrative experience, preferably as a Director, Associate Director, Site Director, or Core Faculty member of a Family Medicine Residency Training Program
