Job Summary

JOB SUMMARY

Performs various jobs throughout the facility including the central plant, Medical Office Buildings, and all exterior grounds.  Demonstrates knowledge and skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and preventative maintenance. Must be able to work with minimal supervision and assist other personnel in their tasks.    

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES      

1. Performs HVAC, electrical, plumbing and preventative maintenancewhich include analysis, troubleshooting, and repairs. 

2. Minor carpentry, painting, and drywall repair. 

3. Assist the senior technician and other technicians in maintaining the operation of the central plant(s) and daily operations of the facility

4. Demonstrates and follows standards in life safety and utility systems. 5. Participates in facility committees and organizations 

6. Able to flex hours and provide on-call coverage during non-business hours. 

7. Excellent communications, mechanical and analytical skills. 

8. Must work well with others

9. Demonstrates continued learning and self initiative. 

10. Excellent mechanical and analytical skills. 

11. Demonstrates the componets of the ICARE values statement. 

12. Communicates effectively with patients, family members, medical staff, co-workers, and other hospital personnel to contribute to the quality of the procedure and the work environment.  13. Performs other duties as assigned.       

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS    

High School Diploma or GED equivalent . Educational training in HVAC and electrical preferred.      

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS     

2- 3 years experience listed in the job summary and responsibilities or comparable education preferred.     

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED    

HVAC, electrical, and/or building automation certificate preferred.   

Engineers or electrician`s license a plus.     

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED    

1. Knowledge and skills in all fields listed in job summary. 

2. Knowledge in codes and regulations.

3. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing concepts, standards and instructions to others.

4. Strong public relation skills.
