JOB SUMMARY
At Houston Methodist, Marketing Program Manager position is responsible driving preference and volume/impact for assigned programs, service lines, and/or sponsorships, and is accountable for performance against strategy/goals for the assigned area. This client-facing role independently manages relationship with hospital leadership (administrators and chairs) and leads the development, implementation and measurement and optimization of marketing/sponsorship plans. The Marketing Program Manager works with stakeholders to proactively identify problems and creative solutions, developing and presenting business cases to influence strategic change.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
o Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
o Seven years of experience related to marketing and communications

o Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations
o Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security
o Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles
o Ability to lead meetings, conversations and present with authority.
o Ability to work under pressure and balance many competing priorities in an organized manner
o Proficient in spreadsheet, word-processing, and presentation software
o Good judgment and decision making ability, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills, ability to independently resolve conflict and understand when to escalate issues
o Ability to manage own professional development including receiving, seeking out and acting on performance feedback
o Demonstrative initiative in managing projects and communication with stakeholders
o Effective and influential oral and written communication and presentation skills when working with physician leadership, administrators and peers and ability to motivate others.
