Job Summary


This position exists to provide supplemental guidance for housekeeping staff under the direction of the department manager. The incumbent serves as a resource for housekeeping management by training staff on cleaning techniques, addressing customer issues, and rounding areas to ensure that service quality meets established department standards. This individual may take on cleaning assignments as dictated by the workload and coverage needs. 


 1. Follows established methods to identify and respond to basic customer needs as it relates to the quality of service in assigned areas. 

 2. Generally includes regular inspections of public areas, restrooms, hallways, conference rooms, elevators, stairwells and offices. 

 3. Provides daily updates to management about service quality, and escalates challenging customer service issues to management. 

 4. Ensures that all chemicals are properly labeled and stored. Ensures that equipment is properly maintained and stored.       

  5. Submits orders for equipment and supplies according to department guidelines, and educates staff about the proper usage. 

 6. Provides regular in-service training to keep staff informed about changes to equipment/supply use and process changes. 

7. Conducts departmental orientation and provides on-the-job training support for new staff members. 

8. Makes recommendations to management to support skill development for housekeeping staff.  Performs other duties as assigned. Demonstrates the components of I CARE values statement. 

 9. Follows all safety rules while on the job. Promptly responds to and corrects minor safety hazards.

  10. Communicates with peers and management regarding any hazards identified in the workplace.  


High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  


A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a housekeeping services role. Demonstrated team leadership is preferred.
