Fortune has released its top 100 hospitals list in 2024. Analyzing data from 2,601 acute-care, nonfederal facilities in small, medium and large community hospitals, and teaching/major teaching hospitals, Houston Methodist is proud to share that five of our distinguished facilities were recognized:

From clinical outcomes to operational efficiency, patient experience and financial health data, research revealed a staggering potential: If all hospitals matched the performance of the Top 100, 350,000 lives could be saved, over 607,000 individuals would avoid in-hospital complications and 16,600 patients would steer clear of 30-day readmissions. These outcomes could translate into a monumental $17.6 billion in national savings, a huge testament to Houston Methodist’s financial prudence and commitment to patient well-being.
