In celebration of National Nurses Week, May 6–12, Houston Methodist honors the incredible power of nurses to heal, lead and shape the future of health care. We thank all of our nurses for the compassionate, expert care they provide every day across our clinics and hospitals in the Greater Houston area.
We also proudly recognize 32 Houston Methodist nurses named to the Houston Chronicle’s Top 200 Nurses of the Year list for 2025. Among them, Jacqueline Mitchell, Mared Orozco, Theresa Pinn and Reena Tharakan were selected for the prestigious Top 15 Nurses distinction.
Now in its 25th year, the Chronicle’s Salute to Nurses program shines a light on nurses who make a lasting impact on patients and communities. Honorees were recognized at a celebratory luncheon on April 30 at the River Oaks Country Club.
To every Houston Methodist nurse, thank you for your unwavering commitment to excellence. Your compassion and skill make a difference in the lives of patients every day and we are proud to celebrate you this week and all year long.
