Forbes evaluated nearly 2,500 hospitals using a rigorous, data-driven methodology focused on clinical outcomes (55%), best practices (20%), value (15%) and patient experience (10%). Only 253 hospitals nationwide achieved a 5-star rating and 509 earned 4 stars.
