We are passionate about our float nurses in this department and do everything in our power to support them as they support our facilities and our patients. We utilize innovative technologies to ensure dual communication and collaboration amongst our teams. Our nurses are also supported by a strong clinical team of nurse managers and a professional development leader.
Orientation and clinical training support are top tier. We provide all new hires with a comprehensive onboarding and orientation to Houston Methodist. We also provide ongoing clinical education and training and free educational resources to support our staff’s professional development and growth.

Staffing assignments may be on a per diem basis or extended for several weeks. We even have special assignments available in specialty areas beyond inpatient care.
Staff select commitment level (number of shifts willing to work in a 6-week scheduling period) and locations supported (minimum 3) based on geographic preference.
