Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director to lead our adult inpatient unit. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, innovative department committed to delivering exceptional patient care. The 20-24 bed inpatient unit is supported by a full-time attending physician and nurse practitioner.
In addition to providing direct patient care, the Medical Director will have the opportunity to supervise psychiatry residents from Baylor College of Medicine and medical students from Texas A&M College of Medicine. While research interests are encouraged, they are not a requirement for the role. The department has a proven track record of securing philanthropic funding for pilot projects, fostering an environment of growth and innovation.
Our robust consultation-liaison service and hospital telepsychiatry program complement our comprehensive care offerings. Outpatient services include specialized care programs, collaborative care initiatives, and an outpatient program dedicated to supporting Houston Methodist employees and their families.
