At Houston Methodist, the Workday Finance Functional Analyst is responsible for providing support on multiple projects within assigned department. This position is primarily one of learning. Under guidance of department management or assigned mentor, assists and supports team and department customers to advance the goals of department and organization. The focus of assignments will be based on department need as well as development of the incumbent. The IT Analyst possesses sufficient basic technical expertise to support assigned department projects and initiatives.

Preferred candidates will have the following:

Workday Financial module experience
Configuration experience
Workday Reporting, Workday Dashboards, MS Excel
Workday Pro Certification (Preferred)
Healthcare industry experience - strongly preferred
Finance Domain knowledge

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business or related field

  • EPIC - Certification (EPIC) if EPIC is within role or team assignment

  • Demonstrates the skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job, determined through on-going skills, competency assessments, and performance evaluations
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job, especially with regard to activities impacting patient or employee safety or security
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members and co-workers in a manner consistent with a customer service focus and application of positive language principles
  • General knowledge of a variety of technologies including Microsoft OS and Microsoft applications
  • Strong listening, communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Supports IT team and customers through participation on assigned projects and contributes to timely completion of project deliverables.
  • Maintains positive working relationships with IT stakeholders, hospital staff and vendors as appropriate.

  • Proactively seeks out assignments and learning opportunities within assigned department or on teams that cross departments.

  • Contributes to development of effective business decisions through clear, concise communication and reporting using data to support conclusions.
  • Provides input and recommendations for process improvements and customer service approaches.

  • Supports team goals and metric through efficient, timely issue resolution of assignments.
