Baytown Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Houston Methodist Specialty Physicians group is seeking Intensivist physicians for our Baytown Campus. Candidates must be board certified in critical care medicine. The critical care unit at Houston Methodist Baytown and provides care for acute patients’ wide variety of illnesses including 24 bed unit. We have a very inviting work environment, great nursing staff and an opportunity for tremendous growth and experience. About our ICU at HMB:
- Number of ICU beds – 24
- Will be expanding to 32 beds in 2022
Patient population that we see in our ICU:
- Mixed Medical/ Surgical
- Post Op - CABG , Valve
- High risk PCI’s/ complex cardiac catheterizations, Impella
- Advanced Heart Failure Team
- ECMO
- Post-operative complex spine surgery
- Neurosurgical or complex Haem-oncology is not available at this location
Current Team structure:
- 2 Intensivists(Long call/short call) and an ACNP in am
- VICU coverage and an ACNP in house in pm - 1 Intensivist (back up call from home)
