HIM/Medical Records Jobs at Houston Methodist can include:

• Coding Specialist II: This team member reviews medical record documentation, extracts data, and applies appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes for inpatient and/or outpatient hospital encounters to support hospital billing, internal and external reporting, research and regulatory compliance.
• Health Information Management Specialist: This team member is responsible for requests and payment received in the Health Information Management department for records from nursing stations, other hospital departments, physician offices, personnel, external requestors such as patients and attorneys.
