Houston Methodist Hospital was named to U.S. News & World Report’s Honor Roll for the seventh time and tied for the No. 1 hospital in Texas.

Each year, U.S. News & World Report recognizes the top hospitals and health systems on its Honor Roll list for delivering exceptional performances across many areas of care. Houston Methodist Hospital is ranked in 10 specialties, with nine specialties ranked in the top 20 and two of those ranked in the top 5. Houston Methodist ranked in more specialties than any other hospital in Houston, making the top 20 in these areas: cancer at No. 20 (tied); cardiology, heart and vascular surgery at No. 14; diabetes and endocrinology at No. 4; gastroenterology/GI surgery at No. 5; geriatrics at No. 15; obstetrics and gynecology No. 25 (tied); neurology/neurosurgery at No. 11; orthopedics at No. 16 (tied); pulmonology and lung surgery at No. 15; and urology at No. 16.

Additionally, other Houston Methodist hospitals also received the following U.S. News & World Report rankings and ratings for 2023-2024:

  • Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital -- Ranked No. 9 in Texas and No. 5 in Houston
  • Houston Methodist Willowbrook Hospital -- Ranked No. 24 in Texas and No. 8 in Houston
  • Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital -- High performing in five conditions and procedures, including heart attack, heart failure, stroke, diabetes and knee replacement
  • Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital -- High performing in three specialties, including gastroenterology & GI surgery, geriatrics, and pulmonology & lung surgery; high performing in four procedures and conditions, including acute kidney failure, heart failure, pneumonia and stroke
  • Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital -- High performing in two specialties, including geriatrics and orthopedics; high performing in two procedures and conditions, including acute kidney failure and pneumonia
  • Houston Methodist West Hospital -- High performing in three procedures and conditions, including heart attack, heart failure and stroke
