Houston Methodist Hospital and Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital have been recognized and ranked by Becker’s Hospital Review as two of the ‘Top 15 hospitals to work for nurses’ in 2023.
To determine these rankings, Nurse Journal, a career and education resource website, used rankings from CMS, the American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet Recognition Program, the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems Patient Survey to rate the top 30 hospitals in the nation for employed nurses and nurses looking for employment. Then, they assessed the following criteria to narrow down the ‘Top 15’ hospitals to work for nurses:
- Patient satisfaction scores
- Safe staffing levels
- Hospital safety measures
- Nursing career opportunities
- Benefits Workplace environment
- Ratings from nurse reviewers
Among the top 15 hospitals nationwide on the final list, Houston Methodist Hospital is #7, and Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital ranks #9 this year.
